#WorkReady Career Exploration: "Emerging Careers-Charting Your Course"

On behalf of the #WORKREADY Partnership, we are excited to invite you to participate in the 2023 LIVE events! 

This event has been designed to be inclusive and open to all Tigard/Tualatin High School students with an emphasis on inviting women and other underrepresented students. The overall goal is to introduce students to the many opportunities in our community and the world that are available in STEM-related fields. We will be providing incentives for them to register by offering $5 Dutch Bros gift cards, sandwiches, soft drinks, and raffle prizes. There?s nothing like a little incentive to get people to show up!

Agenda:

11:00 - Library available 

• 11:30 - 11:45 - Businesses arrive and set up. 
• 12:00 - 12:40 - 1st lunch, students talk to businesses expo style. Suggest businesses have tickets that students can turn in for a prize at the booths for asking a good question.

12:40 - 1:40 - Programming

• 12:40 - 12:45 - Get students settled.
• 12:45 - 12:50 - Legacy Health Systems Keynote Speaker.
• 12:50 - 1:05 ? Industry speakers. Share your story of how your pathway changed.
• 1:05 - 1:20 - Round table discussions. What are the jobs and skills local employers are looking for right now?
• 1:20 - 1:35 - Industry Speakers. What is the career landscape of the future in the Tigard-Tualatin area?
• 1:35 - 1:40 ? Raffle
• 1:40 - 2:10 - 2nd lunch, students talk to businesses expo style.

•        Send 1-2 representatives to speak with the students. 
•        Students love swag or samples. 
•        A 2-4' table and 2 chairs will be provided for each business. Feel free to bring tablecloths, banners, flyers, or other marketing materials to share.
