Beginning 12/1/16 the new Department of Labor regulations on exempt employees go into effect, which will raise the salary threshold for overtime pay.  What this means to employers is that any employees who learn less than $47,476 they will likely be deemed non-exempt so that if they work more than 40 hours a week, they must be paid overtime.
