This May's presentation will be by Alia Alhumaid, MD with Tualatin Internal Medicine.
 
Dr Alia Alhumaid will lead a discussion regarding the increased anxiety and mental health issues during the current quarantine challenges, and healthy coping strategy.

Bio: As a native of Washington, DC, I spent most of my early life and medical training living up and down the East coast. In 2011, My husband and I made the exciting move to Lake Oswego and have since thoroughly enjoyed becoming Oregonians- while raising three small Oregonians of our own! As a young adult, I was drawn to medicine after watching my grandmother suffer from chronic disease. In recent years, I have become the primary care giver to her mother who has Parkinson’s disease. From my experiences, I have come to appreciate the complexities and challenges associated with living with chronic disease and strives to incorporate these sensitivities into the care I provides to my patients. I am a big proponent of preventative health and prioritize maintaining optimal health during all stages of life. I am excited to join the team at Tualatin Internal Medicine. Alia Alhumaid, MD
